After an early breakfast, you will depart Arusha and drive south toward Tarangire National Park, renowned for its rolling savannah, iconic giant baobab trees, and massive herds of elephants. You will spend the day on an exhilarating game drive, spotting diverse wildlife such as zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and various predators as they gather around the Tarangire River.

Leaving Tarangire behind, your journey continues upward through the scenic Great Rift Valley escarpment and across the lush agricultural highlands of Karatu. You will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, catching breathtaking views of the crater highlands before descending into the legendary, endless plains of the Serengeti in time for an afternoon game drive.

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the vast wilderness of the Serengeti. With a full day at your disposal, you can track the movements of the great migration (depending on the season), search for elusive big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs resting in the acacia trees or scanning the plains, and witness the incredible density and diversity of African wildlife.

Following a morning game drive in the Serengeti to catch the wildlife waking up, you will begin your drive back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The route takes you through more stunning landscapes of the crater highlands, where you will arrive at your lodge in the afternoon to unwind, relax, and prepare for the grand finale of your safari.

Your final day starts with an early morning descent down the steep, forested walls of the Ngorongoro Crater onto its magnificent floor. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a breathtaking natural caldera teeming with thousands of animals, offering one of your best chances to spot the "Big Five"—including black rhinos—in a single morning. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will ascend the crater rim and drive back to Arusha for your departure.
